Endocrinology
Endocrinology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the endocrine system and its specific secretions called hormones. Doctors who specialize in treating such disorders are called endocrinologists.
Although almost every organ system involves hormones (including the brain, the intestine and the kidney), endocrinology focuses on the endocrine organs, i.e. the organs that have hormone secretion as its main task.
